Please note: Windows users, if you can connect to the Variations server but audio does not play, try this:

Open Quicktime and select Preferences -> Quicktime Preferences from the Edit menu.  

Switch to the Advanced tab and change the Transport Setup to "Custom..."

From the dialog that pops up, change the Transport Protocol to HTTP and the port to 80 then click OK.  Click OK to close the Quicktime Preferences and try streaming again.
